Residential is the culmination of my collaboration work with Clinton Green. The tracks here are culled from two live performances we played together, as well as an afternoon recording session of improvised guitar material.

During 2005 to 2008 Clinton and I lived in the same neighbourhood in the western suburbs of Melbourne. I was happy and privileged to have such a brilliant guitarist in my own backyard.

Clinton is one of the best guitarists I have had the pleasure of playing with. His style and technique are very sensitive, with a sound that is highly adaptable and that works “with” other musicians in the truest sense of collaboration. I consider our work on Residential to be some of our best, due to the fact our own distinct styles became completely intertwined, which is no easy feat.

He also operates Shame File Music. A local experimental label of long-standing.
